The Mukilteo Schools Foundation (MSF) began in 1992. Our mission is to encourage and reward excellence while supporting innovation and creativity in education. We further strive to strengthen community involvement and education within the Mukilteo School District.
The Foundation is composed of Mukilteo-area volunteers, including district employees and parents of students, past and present.
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math)
We are working closely with the District and virtually our entire aerospace community to provide support for a variety of real-life experiences in STEAM subjects. Each year we provide funding for the District’s innovative district-wide STEAM Classroom Extension program. This program enables students to have field trips that supplement classroom instruction while giving kids hands-on experiences that can inspire them to consider a STEAM career.
Literacy
We are committed to bringing books and the best innovative teaching and learning practices to our children. We have provided age-appropriate book and innovative teacher tool kits across all age groups. With your help, we can continue to instill in our kids the joy of reading – and more important, the joy of learning!
Educator Grants
Our Educator Grants have put thousands of dollars directly into classrooms for myriad enrichment programs. Teachers have used these grants to buy books and supplies, and to create innovative outreach programs for their students. Through our grants, scores of educators have brought vital, exciting programs to their students.
Senior Scholarships
Each year we award scholarships toward higher education to graduating seniors from our four high schools.
James Abbott College in High School Fund
Through the generous donations from James Abbott, in partnership with Mariner High School, we have set up a fund to help pay for hundreds of College in High School courses for low income students from 2020-2023!
